Paamiang

Paamiang is a small village in the mountains, located about 1.5 to 2.5 hours from Chiang Mai depending on the road you take.

It is situated past Mae Kampong Village if you keep following the same road. However, the road can be challenging — it’s very steep, so you’ll need a good scooter and reliable brakes to get there safely.

This very quiet village has a river running through the center, with small waterfalls and cafés where you can relax. There also seem to be some hiking trails in the area.

I only stayed one night and remained within the village itself, but it was incredibly peaceful and relaxing.
